Cancelled, Diverted, and Smarter: Better Flight Status and Insights
Not every flight goes to plan. Some get cancelled before you board, and some divert to a different airport along the way. SkyJourney now records what actually happened, so your logbook and your statistics stay honest.
Completed, Cancelled, or Diverted
Each flight can now carry a clear status:
- Completed for flights that went as planned
- Cancelled for flights that did not operate, with an optional reason
- Diverted for flights that landed somewhere other than the planned destination, including the airport you actually arrived at and the reason
The flight timeline and map adapt to match, so a cancelled or diverted flight looks the way it really happened rather than pretending everything was normal.
Honest Statistics
Cancelled flights should not inflate your numbers, and now they do not. Distance, duration, and CO2 totals leave cancelled flights out of your key analytics and summary cards. Your stats reflect the flying you actually did.
A Personal Insight on Every Flight
Open a flight and you may notice a short, one line insight near the top. It is generated from your own flight history, so it puts the flight in context. Think small, personal observations drawn from the flights you have already logged, not generic trivia.
Better Shared Links Too
When you share a flight or a public profile, the page now carries clearer titles and descriptions. Links look better wherever you post them, which makes your travel story easier to share.
Open any flight to set its status, and watch for your personal insight at the top.
